Human is a part of nature. Human body is created by nature, in the same way as flowers, trees and leaves. It is a physical existence of human consciousness.

In Landscape of Body series, the artist sees the body as a natural landscape and substitutes the body structure with mountains, rivers and other substances existed in the universe. The body curve resonates with the natural contour. When a body is in fusion with nature, it is no longer a standalone entity but a part of the mountain or water or landscape.

Human body is always a forbidden topic in Chinese tradition. That is why Chinese paintings find the beauty of the nature via natural elements like mountains, rivers, flowers and birds. Human bodies, however, are common objects in western paintings. The artist endeavours to seek a balance between the culture differences.
