Ruins is a sculpture of materialistic achievement by time, and a witness to reshape human’s living condition. It is more than a visual sensation, but a reflection on one’s destiny and time of nature.

The relics presented in Oblivion series are inspired from the artist’s travel memory of Angkor Wat and Prasat Beng Mealea in Cambodia. Meanwhile, the city he is living in has been undergoing massive renovations. Old city areas reach the end of their lifecycle and become relics inapt in the new planning. The relic is left behind as mankind is in no position to compete with nature, yet it enters a new ideal status: manmade creation goes hand in hand with nature.
