In the beginning of 2020 when COVID-19 first hit, the artist had just relocated to his new studio when the paints and canvas became scarcities as the shipping stopped.

The lockdown turned out to be a prolonged period to stay indoors. One cannot help but to imagine a moment in the future when mankind is compelled to stay indoors and see the skyline through the window due to natural disasters. Perhaps, when that day comes, the skyline will uphold an undying hope and imagination, or a destination beyond reach, an existence of poetic dream.

In Skyline series, the artist draws the fragments of skyline with imaginative colours from his artistic memory onto a small frame. He is like a lonely island, standing alone to the unreachable skyline, touching the infinite world through a small piece of fabrics of inches.
